Welcome to my about page, and my website!

My name is Harry Guthrie and I am a 5th year Software Engineer graduating at the end of 2020. This website is provided as a little showcase of what I can do as well as a way to get into contact with me.

Me

I have being very fortunate to have an experience rich start to my career as shown in the resume. However some highlights would be:

• Working using the Blue Waters Supercomputer at the National Center for Supercomputing Applications (NCSA). This project involved simulating bee vision and using Blue Waters to run large scale simulations simultaneously. As part of this I was in a few different articles which will provide further details:

  • The first providing a scope of the project before it commenced - link.
  • The second written by NCSA describing how it integrates with their research - link.
  • Finally a reflection on the project once it had finished - link.
• Being part of the New Colombo Plan which allowed me to experience Chinese culture and business practices at the Dalian Neusoft University of Information.
• Beginning my career at 17 with the wonderful Scott Barber at FuseWorks.

Currently I am planning for my graduation at the end of the year and the end of 2020 and the start of my fulltime career. If you have any interest in this feel free to contact me.

• Auth0 for authentication to allow a CRUD backend for editing info without having to edit the code.
